You know
you can do
the role.

So why are hiring
decisions not
going your way?

Experience alone does not drive hiring decisions. They’re driven by how quickly decision-makers understand your value, where you fit, and whether they feel confident hiring you.

Being able to do the role and being hired for the role are not the same thing.

The Obvious Hire Method™ helps you influence the factors that bridge the gap.

Do These Challenges Sound Familiar?

You are capable, experienced and ready for what's next, but the next offer feels out of reach.

Applications disappear into a black hole

You apply, but rarely hear back, and you’re not sure why.

Your CV describes what you’ve done, but doesn’t capture the value you bring.

It’s not having the impact your know it should.

You’re getting interviews but not offers.

You make it to the final stages, yet someone else always gets chosen.

Networking feels uncomfortable or unproductive.

You’re not sure who to talk to, what to say, or how to turn conversations into opportunities.

You struggle to explain oyour value clearly.

You know what you bring to the table, but find it hard to put into words.

You’re being perceived as too senior, or too expensive

It’s draining your confidence and making you question what to do next.

These challenges are common among talented professionals.

The Obvious Hire Method™ helps you uncover and address the underlying causes behind them.

Why Strong Candidates Still Get Overlooked

Because hiring decisions are influenced by more than experience alone.

Many professionals focus on proving they can do the job.

Hiring professionals are assessing something different.

From the moment they encounter your application, they are evaluating how relevant, credible, memorable, low-risk, and compelling you appear compared to other candidates.

The Obvious Hire Method™ helps you understand and influence the factors that shape hiring decisions from the very beginning.

Hiring managers evaluate more than capability.

The Obvious Hire Method™ helps you strengthen your evidence to build confidence and reduce perceived hiring risk.

The onboarding process helps you understand where to begin, what to focus on first, and how to align your efforts with the factors that most influence hiring decisions.

Most experienced professionals are too close to their own careers to fully see the value sitting beneath their experience.

Over time, many people normalise what they do, underestimate the level at which they operate, describe themselves using internal company language, and focus more on responsibilities than impact.

Through this lens, you begin to uncover what employers are actually hiring you for, the strengths that run throughout your career, where you reduce risk, solve problems, and create trust, and the value sitting underneath your work.

This becomes the foundation for everything that follows, strengthening your positioning, professional conversations, and interview performance.

You will walk away with:
• A clearer understanding of your professional value
• Stronger language to describe your experience
• Greater confidence explaining what you bring professionally

Strong experience is not enough if employers cannot quickly understand your relevance, fit, and value.

Many professionals unintentionally sound too broad, bury their strongest experience, focus heavily on responsibilities rather than impact, and make hiring professionals work too hard to understand what they bring.

Through this lens, you begin to uncover what employers are really looking for beneath the job description, how hiring professionals assess fit, relevance, and level, where your positioning may be weakening your applications, and how stronger positioning reduces uncertainty in the hiring decision.

This helps you move away from generic applications towards clearer, more targeted positioning.

You will walk away with:
• A stronger CV title and professional summary
• A clearer understanding of what job descriptions are really asking for
• Stronger positioning for the roles you want
• Greater confidence tailoring applications for specific opportunities

Many professionals unintentionally rely too heavily on online applications, approach networking without a clear strategy, underestimate the value of existing relationships, and lack visibility in the professional circles where opportunities often emerge.

This lens helps you understand how opportunities actually move, and how to get closer to the people and conversations that influence hiring decisions.

Through this lens, you begin to uncover where recruiters and hiring professionals actively search for talent, how to use LinkedIn more strategically, which existing contacts may already sit closer to opportunity, how to approach people more naturally and credibly, and how stronger visibility increases access to opportunity.

This is not about generic networking. It is about building stronger proximity to opportunity.

You will walk away with:
• A clearer networking and visibility strategy
• Stronger LinkedIn positioning
• Greater confidence approaching contacts professionally
• More focused access to relevant people and opportunities

Strong interviews are not simply about giving good answers.

Hiring professionals are assessing how you think, communicate, exercise judgement, handle pressure, and whether they can trust you in the role.

Many professionals unintentionally over-rehearse answers, sound too generic or polished, struggle when challenged, focus on capability without building conviction, and fail to understand what hiring professionals are really assessing.

This lens helps you understand how hiring conviction is built, strengthened, or lost throughout interviews and hiring conversations.

Through this lens, you begin to uncover what sits beneath common interview questions, how hiring professionals assess risk, judgement, and fit, where doubt is unintentionally created, how stronger answers build trust and credibility, and how to handle interviews in a more natural and commercially grounded way.

This is not about memorising perfect answers. It is about becoming easier to hire.

You will walk away with:
• Stronger interview preparation
• A better understanding of hiring thinking during interviews
• Greater confidence handling challenging questions
• A stronger ability to build hiring conviction throughout the process

What You Might Be Wondering

The Obvious Hire™ Method is a structured hiring method designed to help experienced professionals become easier to understand by decision makers, easier to position in the market, and easier to hire. It combines practical tools, fuelled by AI, hiring insight, and real-world leadership experience to strengthen professional value, visibility, positioning, and hiring performance.

Because many experienced professionals move too quickly into CV writing, applications, or networking before fully understanding the true value of their own experience. The foundation layer helps uncover hidden strengths, business impact, leadership capability, transferable value, and the level at which somebody truly operates.

Many experienced professionals normalise what they do because it has become familiar to them over time. As a result, they often describe themselves too operationally, minimise leadership contributions, bury strategic impact, or fail to recognise what employers would see as highly valuable experience.

The tools are not generic prompts or automated CV writers. They are built around real hiring behaviour, leadership experience, hiring psychology, and market positioning. The focus is not simply generating content, but helping professionals think more strategically about how they are understood and assessed during hiring decisions.

Because hiring decisions are influenced by far more than a CV. Visibility, positioning, recruiter searches, networking, LinkedIn presence, interview communication, relevance, and perceived hiring risk all play an important role in how professionals are assessed.

The goal is to help employers, recruiters, and hiring decision-makers quickly understand the value, relevance, credibility, and level of the experience professionals already have, making it much easier for them to move forward with confidence.

The Obvious Hire™ Method is designed for experienced professionals who feel overlooked despite strong experience, are navigating career disruption or transition, or want to strengthen their positioning, visibility, confidence, and hiring performance.

Yes, it is designed for those who are actively looking for work.  However, it is equally suitable if you have just started your search, or are many months into it.

The method is primarily designed to be self-paced, allowing professionals to work through the tools and material in a way that fits their own schedule and priorities. The Accelerator option also includes direct strategic support and guidance from Emily Rappitt.

Access is provided shortly after joining, allowing you to begin exploring the method, tools, and material immediately.

Yes, you can upgrade membership levels later if they decide you would like broader access to tools or more personalised strategic support.

That depends on the level of support, structure, and strategic guidance you are looking for. Some professionals prefer independent self-paced access to the tools, while others want deeper personalised guidance alongside the method.

No. The tools are designed to guide professionals through structured thinking, positioning, and career decision-making in a practical and accessible way. The focus is on applying stronger hiring thinking — not learning AI technology.

No. The tools are already integrated into The Obvious Hire™ experience. You do not need your own separate AI subscription or technical setup.

Most professionals start with the foundation layer, understanding and strengthening their professional value, before moving into positioning, visibility, networking, and interview performance. The method is designed to build progressively, depending on individual goals and career situations.

That depends on your starting point, career situation, and how deeply you engage with the tools. Some professionals use the method intensively during active job search periods, while others return to it over time as their direction evolves.

The Accelerator combines the tools and methodology with direct strategic support from Emily Rappitt, including personalised guidance on positioning, CVs, LinkedIn, hiring strategy, interviews, and career decision-making.

Yes. Many professionals experiencing disruption struggle with confidence, positioning, clarity, and understanding how to move forward. The method helps rebuild stronger professional understanding and clearer market positioning.

Yes. The method was specifically designed with experienced and senior professionals in mind, particularly professionals whose experience may sound too broad, operational, or difficult to assess quickly.

Yes. The method helps professionals communicate experience more clearly, strengthen examples of ownership and impact, and better understand what hiring managers are actually assessing during interviews.

Yes. The method helps professionals identify transferable strengths, improve relevance and positioning, and communicate capability more clearly during career transition.

Yes. While The Obvious Hire™ Method and tools are primarily designed in English, some professionals may still find them helpful when working in other languages. However, the tools have not yet been explicitly tested across multiple languages, so outputs may vary depending on language and context. Expanding multilingual capability is planned as part of future development versions of the method

Yes. The method is not limited to Switzerland. The hiring principles inside the method — including positioning, relevance, visibility, and hiring communication — are highly transferable across international markets.

Hiring decisions always involve external factors outside anybody’s control. The purpose of The Obvious Hire™ Method is to strengthen everything that is within your control, helping you position yourself more clearly, communicate your value more effectively, reduce hiring doubt, and compete far more strongly in the market.

Meet Emily

My Value to You

I’ve been on every side of the hiring table – applying for roles, hiring talent, leading teams, making difficult redundancy decisions, and experiencing major career disruption myself.

I’ve been involved in hiring decisions since the 1990s, eventually becoming the person accountable for making final hiring decisions and building high-performing teams.

My senior corporate forensic investigator background taught me something equally important: the most valuable evidence is often hidden beneath the surface.

The same is true in careers.

Many talented professionals underestimate their value, overlook their strongest differentiators, and struggle to communicate the impact they’ve had. My role is to help uncover what others miss and bring it into focus.

That’s why I created The Obvious Hire™.

It combines my hiring insight, forensic questioning, practical frameworks, and smart AI tools to help professionals understand their value, position it clearly, and become the obvious choice.
