After three decades in corporate leadership, I founded Emily Julia Coaching.
Why? To make the kind of stability, clarity and momentum I brought to global Fortune 500 organizations in deep distress available to driven professionals impacted by corporate disruptions and shake-ups.
My mission is simple —

Some Leaders Avoid Corporate Disruption
I built my career by delivering exclusively in environments under pressure
Disruption was my normal for 30 years in consulting and banking, including roles as a Forensic Director at Deloitte and later Group Compliance COO at a Swiss Private Bank.
Crises, regulatory scrutiny, failing projects, fractured leadership teams, cost cutting, and digital transformations were my day-to-day environment, and I operated in full view of global regulators, media attention, and senior stakeholders for Fortune 500 clients where every decision mattered.
Uniting people to deliver when losing control wasn’t an option
During these times of over-whelming uncertainty and discomfort, I frequently led cross-functional teams of more than 100 people, spanning multiple jurisdictions and time zones. Many reported directly to me; many more I influenced without authority.
As an ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA), and working as an external auditor and forensic accountant, I grew my business acumen, and witnessed how organisations tick. I’ve navigated complex political landscapes, balanced competing agendas, and built trust at every level, from the Board Chair to frontline staff.
And as a hiring manager for the business, I was the decision-maker on who joined my teams, selecting and developing talent that could thrive in high-stakes environments.
The Trusted Go-To in a Crisis
I was the person called in and trusted when others were stuck, when projects were failing, client relationships were deteriorating, or a crisis had thrown everything off balance.
My greatest strength is my ability to earn trust fast, unite people behind a clear direction, and get the best from them, even when the stakes are highest. I bring calm to chaos, see the big picture quickly, and create structure where none existed.
People say I’m comfortable in a crisis – well, that’s true. It’s the only environment I’ve ever worked in.
First-hand experience of career shake-ups
And I’ve been on both sides of the story. I’ve experienced my own career shake-ups: redundancy, burnout, stalled progression, menopause, and rebuilt from the ground up.
That lived experience shapes the way I work today: blending commercial clarity with deep human understanding so people can regain stability, clarity, and momentum in their own careers.
An ICF qualified ACC coach and mentor with decades of experience
In addition to my Forensic Director career, I spent three years in Deloitte HR, mentoring and coaching in recruitment and professional development, and have continued to guide leaders, support careers, and develop people through their toughest professional moments.
Being passionate about continuous learning, I’m an accredited member of the prestigious coaching organisation the International Coaching Federation, and hold the ACC certificate. I religiously abide by it’s laws and ethics.

I was one of the first coaches to adopt custom-built AI tools. These tools are written by me, customized for my clients, and ingrain all of my experience. Their main purpose is to keep clients supported between sessions and to augment the 1:1 coaching sessions. However, they also fuel my own creative thinking and lifelong learning, ensuring I bring fresh, forward-thinking solutions to every challenge.
A board member and mentor championing women at every stage
As a Board member of Professional Women’s Network Zug and Zurich and VP Mentoring program, an accredited menopause coach, and a serial mentor for numerous mentoring programs, I create real opportunities for women’s growth and leadership.
I’m passionate about advancing women in the workplace, which has been shaped by years of often being the only woman in the room.
I’ve mentored high-potential women, championed retention strategies for female leaders, and spoken on how workplaces can better support them, including through menopause, one of the most disruptive and least understood transitions.
